»ÆÉ«µçÓ° Alumna Mary Lancaster to be Honored for Outstanding Business Practice

Adam Smith Award Night returns at 6 p.m. November 29 honoring alumna Mary Lancaster. The free, public event will be held in the Flight Deck at St. Charles Borromeo at »ÆÉ«µçÓ° in Romeoville.
Lancaster, who earned an accounting bachelor’s degree from »ÆÉ«µçÓ°, will offer a few words to students, faculty, and staff on her experiences, achievements, and insights concerning economics and business.
For over 30 years, the »ÆÉ«µçÓ° Board of Trustees member has practiced public accounting and auditing governmental entities, not-for-profit entities, healthcare organizations, employee benefit plans, and commercial enterprises. The certified public account became a partner of Wermer Rogers Doran & Ruzon, LLC in 2014.
The »ÆÉ«µçÓ° College of Business Executive Advisory Board member is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois CPA Society. Lancaster has also served in various leadership roles throughout the community, including the Cathedral of St. Raymond School Board and Will Grundy Center for Independent Living.
Dr. Larry Hill, professor of Economics in the College of Business, is the founder of Adam Smith Week, a week dedicated to various activities that demonstrate the role of economics and business in our society. It is recognizably named after Adam Smith, the “Father of Economics.”
